The Servo Control Load Frames feature either a 10,000lbf or 20,000lbf load capacity and an extra-wide strain rate range of 0.00001 – 2in/min. The load frames perform a comprehensive range of soil mechanics applications, including CBR/LBR, triaxial shear, unconfined compression, soil-cement tests and various asphalt tests. The strain rates are precisely regulated to within ±1% under load, utilizing closed-loop electronic feedback from a powerful 2hp continuous servo motor.
The Servo Control Load Frames come equipped with a human-machine interface (HMI) that allows users to easily input the desired strain rate quickly and accurately. The HMI controller displays the currect strain rate throughout the test, while the servo motor continually acquires feedback to maintain the precise strain rate, regardless of the applied load.
The machines feature easy height adjustment of their horizontal crosshead with nuts on 1.25in coarse threaded vertical rods. Additionally, their 11.9 in x 37.3 in daylight opening accommodates CBR/LBR molds, triaxial cells, and test sample fixtures and components. They also feature an 8in diameter platen and rugged frames made of 16ga powder coated steel.
