Void Content Apparatus – Fine Aggregate
The void content apparatus – fine aggregate determines the un-compacted void content of fine aggregate samples. The testing methods indicates angularity, spericity and workability of fine aggregate in a mixture. A spatula mixes the samples until they are homogeneous. Samples flow into 100ml copper cylindrical measure. The measure features a locating hold. The hold fits a lug on the funnel stand. Ensuring tests provide precision and repeatability. Mass is determined and void content is computed once the excess material has been struck off.
