The fixed ring consolidation cells feature stainless steel construction with a self-trimming cutter ring. The cutter ring sits inside the clamping ring on lower porous stone that is larger than the sample. The assembly of the cell has a fixed cell base and enclosed within an acrylic cylinder open to the atmosphere, permitting saturation of the sample.
