The inexpensive Chace air indicator kit provides fast estimates of air content of fresh concrete. The indicator is ideal device for rapid field judgments instead of the conventional air meter tests.  The brass cup/rubber stopper assembly holds a sample of cement paste and fine aggregate. 

The cup and stopper inserts into the glass vial.  Isopropyl alcohol is added to the vial to the top graduation.  The number of lines the alcohol drops in the stem of the vial after agitation determines the percent of air.  The kit includes the air indicator, instructions and cleaning brush. As well as a plastic squeeze-type bottle for alcohol in a plastic storage box.
