The liquid limit set performs Atterberg or liquid limit tests in accordance with ASTM specifications. It determines the water content at which soil changes from a liquid to a plastic state. A soil sample placed into a cup in the machine separates into two halves using a grooving tool. Â The crank on the machine rotates so that the cup holding the sample strikes the base of the test machines. Machines are available with counters and motors if preferred. Â The soil grinder quickly prepares dry soils samples for limit tests, particle size analysis and other standard lab tests. Â It preserves true grain size for accurate and repeatable test results. Â The resiliency tester measures resiliency of the hard rubber base of the liquid limit machines. Â Complete tests within a 90 day interval to ensure the base meets ASTM D4318 standards.
