The compact specific gravity table finds the volume occupied by the aggregate in various mixtures containing coarse aggregates.  It uses a scale and wire basket to help determine the volume.  Additionally, it finds the volume of irregularly shaped natural stone and similar materials.

The lower part of the frame incorporates a moving platform, which carries the water tank.  The specific gravity table tank allows the specimens to be weighed in both air and water.  The frame fits any type of electronic balance fitted with under-bench weighing capabilities.
