Penetration Piston
The CBR penetration piston has a 3 square inch base area and about 7.5″ long. Designed for use in conjunction with surcharge weight to apply penetration surcharge loads. In addition, the 7010 penetration pistons specifically work for CBR soil subgrade and base course tests.
H-4178 – Designed use with CBR/LBR and Marshall Automatic Load frame, CBR/LBR Specific Load Frame, CBR Automatic Load Frame, Master Loader Elite Series and the Manual CBR Load Frame.
7010-A – 1/2in diameter male connector with 20tpi threads. Used with 100 to 10,000lbf load rings and 500 to 2,500lbf load cells. Designed used with Multi-function Load Frame and CBR, Triaxial, UC and Soil Cements Load Frame.
7010-B – 3/4in diameter male connection with 16tpi threads. Used with 5,000 to 10,000lbf load cells. Designed used with Multi-function Load Frame and CBR, Triaxial, UC and Soil Cements Load Frame.
