Electrical Density Gauge Model E – EDGe
The Electrical Density Gauge Model E (EDGe) determines the density and moisture content of aggregate and soil aggregate compacted type I or II base. It also determines density of native soil materials that are suitable for shallow foundations, such as secondary roads.
The EDGe consists of two independent units. One unit for the lab and one for use in the field. The gauge provides a direct correlation between the Proctor test data in the lab and readings of the same material in the field.
One Lab Unit supports multiple Field Units. One Lab Unit is required to use the Field Unit.
