Permeameters

Permeameters test granular samples using either the constant-head or falling-head methods. Constant and falling head use the permeameter, manometer tube, two funnels and either porous stones or perforated screens. Other permeameters like the Shelby tube test undisturbed soil samples in sections of 3 in diameter Shelby tubes. Consisting of corrosion-resistant top and bottom plates, valves and two porous stones. Another permeameter such as the Compaction permeameter determines the permeability of clay, sand and gravel. Molds come with upper and lower plates that feature inlet/outlet connectors for water to flow through.
