Specific Gravity

Specific gravity features in many calculations for mix design, proportioning, and bulk density. As well as absorption and void content of aggregates and other construction materials. Weighing tables and benches come in all varieties and can each fit a 30 or 45 gallon water tank.  The specific gravity basket is constructed of No. 8 stainless steel mesh with 1/8″ x 1/2″ stainless steel reinforcement bars and 1/8″ diameter bail.  The pycnometer jar and conical mold set determine bulk and absorption of fine aggregate.  Many flasks measure percentage of voids and surface moisture, as well as density of powdered materials.  Compact and efficient single burner and double burner hot plates are also available.
