Prism testing provides a means of verifying the delayed expansion of cement caused by hydration. Evaluates compressive strength characteristics of in-place masonry construction through testing of prisms obtained on site. Â Prism molds produce the required 10″ effective gauge length prism test bars. Â The molds feature removable partitions, base and end plates. Â Length comparators measure the length changes of hardened cement paste, mortar and concrete prismatic specimens. Accommodating test specimens with up to 4″ x 4″ cross sections. Â The cement autoclave uses accelerated means of estimating delayed expansion of Portland cement caused by hydrations of CaO and MgO. Â The test bars control steam pressure and corresponding constant temperature.
