Specific Gravity

The Corelok® performs 5 standard lab test including, bulk, maximum and aggregate specific gravity, porosity, and percent of asphalt content.  The non-nuclear unit determines SuperPave, Stone Matrix (SMA) and coarse mix asphalt air voids. The system seals asphalt samples so that the sample’s densities work with measurements taken by water displacement methods. Place samples automatically in specially designed puncture resistant polymer bags to stay sealed and protected. Densities measured with the Corelok® feature highly reproducible and accurate results. The results are not dependent on material type or sample shape. The GravitySuite™ PC software package calculates and manages data for ease of operation.
