The o-ring placing tool places o-rings on triaxial and permeability samples with ease. The tool does so with a minimum disturbance to the specimen. A user places the soil specimen on the testing pedestal and then installs the latex membrane. The o-rings secure the open ends of the membrane to the pedestals.
