The non-indicating drierite dessicant is anhydrous calcium sulfate. It is of neutral pH, constant in volume, chemically inert except toward water and insoluble in organic liquids and refrigerants. The 8 mesh replacement drierite is for air drying unit to protect the vacuum pump by removing final traces of moisture from vacuum lines.
