Digital thermometers all feature a similar design with their wide LCD readout face and long probe. Most of the digital thermometers feature an auto-off system to prolong battery life. In addition they also feature the IP65 waterproof protection and measurements ranges of -40 to 450°F. The flip probe digital thermometer differs from the others as it has five adjustable probes, whereas the other thermometers only feature one. In addition, its temperature range is -40 to 482°F and has an accuracy of  ±0.5°C.
